Uninterrupted, Focused Learning - The Real 60 Minutes
A highlight event in the Yeshiva. A good-hearted, fast paced competition that generates much excitement every year. The students pledge to learn uninterrupted hours in one hour increments. They get to taste the satisfaction of straight, continuous learning which inspires increased diligence. At the end of the school year, the winning grade goes on an exciting and much anticipated trip.
SUCCESSES:
2020: 7,000 hours completed
2021: 8,500 hours completed
2022: 20,000 hours completed
Retention And Comprehension Testing
Students commit to reviewing and memorizing dapei (pages) of gemorah learned in class and to finish the masechta (tractate) independently. The constant repetition and review help students grasp and understand the mesechta more clearly and make even complex sugyos (topics) an enjoyable experience. The student gains confidence and a sense of accomplishment through mastering the masechta. This in turn instills in the student a desire to accomplish even more. In addition to the weekly and monthly written tests, two qualified testers are brought in once a month to orally test the students ensuring that they have a thorough grasp of the material. At the end of the year, there will be an oral test on the entire masechta. Students who qualify are awarded monetary prizes.

2021: 600 dapim (pages)
2022: 3,500 dapim (pages) pledged so far
